Merry Christmas W

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

President Bush got a nice present this Christmas with the execution of Saddam Hussein.

But there’s a part of me that just doesn’t believe that Saddam is really dead.

How long until the moon-landing type conspiracy theories about the Hussein execution surface?

Is Biggie really dead? Is Tupac? Has Elvis been living in the Bronx all these years?

Phish Lead Singer Arrested

Not a good story.

I hope Trey sorts out whatever demons he is working through right now.

Click here for a parody of the story.

On the other hand, perhaps Trey is finally becoming the real rockstar that he has been striving for as of late.

If you’re thinking of Christmas gifts, might I suggest a Phree Trey shirt?

He Shoots He Scores!

Great gallery of NHL goal scoring celebrations.

I think that I would go as crazy as Ovechkin does if I ever managed to score a goal in the NHL.

But then again if I scored as many goals as Mario Lemieux has, perhaps I would just give the simple gesture acknowledging my greatness.

One thing I can be sure of, beating Tie Domi or any tough guy in the NHL would be cause for a ceremony presenting me with my new title belt.

The Fugitive Olympian

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

So there is an arrest warrant out for Miriam Bedard, the Canadian gold medal (twice) olympic biathlete. She has abducted her own daughter.

I’m just going to throw it out there that she is going to be tough to catch. My reasons:

1) If the hunt for Bedard comes down to a race through the snowy woods of Quebec, she will escape. On skis.

2) Say the police do corner her in the woods of Quebec (fat chance, see above), there will very likely be a shootout. Who do you think would win in a shootout with someone who has been shooting guns since the age of 14? And winning medals for shooting? Please.

3) This woman is married to a man who personally convinced former PM Chretien to stay out of the Iraq war. Talk about foresight!

So watch out. Be careful. If you see a woman on skis with a rifle and child in her arms STAY BACK! Do not approach the Olympic Biathlete!

Cover your eyes if you’re not into violent hockey fights.

This rates right up there with Probert vs Domi…

Van Halen version 4.0

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

The original lineup of Van Halen could be back together for their next album. Eddie Van Halen has confirmed that he has asked David Lee Roth to rejoin one of the greatest rock groups of all time.

Although with the egos of these guys it will probably fall apart again.

At least there is hope for redemption from Van Hagar and Van Cherone…
